Beauty and the Beast: Rehearsals Underway
Rehearsals and prop-making workshops well underway for this year's college production
Rehearsals for this year's production of Beauty and the Beast - a truly collaborative effort by the Norbury Manor community - are well underway. This year's production is an ambitious one, with enchanting characters and a big cast which includes students from all year groups. Ideas developed in workshops held during the first weeks of the autumn term are helping to shape a Dickensian world where ‘every day is like the one before' in the little town where the story unfolds. The cast have been working hard at rehearsals while other students have already begun designing and creating bewitching costume pieces and props for the show.
Weekly rehearsals take place after school, in the Main Hall, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Students should check the rehearsal schedule on the Music Department notice board at the beginning of each week to find out which days to attend. Prop-making workshops take place after school in the DT department on Tuesdays; students who are interested in helping out should speak with Ms Woodhouse or Ms Henderson.
