Students Visit LEGOLAND

Students participate in LEGOLAND workshops

Year 8 students, accompanied by selected Year 10 Business Studies and Computing students, paid a recent visit to LEGOLAND Windsor where they participated in a series of workshops. The Dr. Heartbeat programme looked at bringing computing alive outside the classroom - students used LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT technology to practice their problem solving skills and complete a number of life saving operations. In the Computer Design and Control workshop, students used LEGO WeDo software to build and program an interactive model. Business Studies students took part in an interesting and varied discussion which covered issues such as successful business models, recent innovations and marketing strategies.
