PFA

The NMBEC Parents and Friends Association (PFA) has been in operation for approximately nine months. As a parent or carer of an NMBEC pupil, you are automatically a member of the PFA. To benefit from this membership you can now sign up and register with PTA-UK to qualify for fantastic local and national offers to help your family budget go a little further! Just click on the link below and go to ‘Sign up’.

So far this year NMBEC PFA has started slowly by selling refreshments and raffle tickets at school events. We are able to do this with the support of a small, dedicated committee and a longer list of ‘Helping Hands’. If you would like to join this list of helpers, please send an email with your contact details to PFAatNMBEC@hotmail.co.uk. Thanks to everyone for supporting our refreshment and raffle sales.

On 16 December we are holding a Christmas themed cake ‘Bake-Off’. All students may enter and should bring along their entry on Friday morning. The winner will receive a cash prize of £25. 
 
We plan to kick off 2012 with some new events such as Zumba Night – watch this space! We will also be holding a Bags 2 School fundraising event, please keep hold of any unwanted clothes/textiles, you will be able to bring these to school for recycling. (Date to be announced.) The PFA will receive 50p per kilo of textiles collected. In the summer term we plan to hold a Diamond Jubilee Grand Prize Draw, look out for tickets, which will be available for purchase in the spring term.
