Mobile Phones, MP3 Players and similar items

Mobile Phones, MP3 Players and similar items

We strongly advise against students bringing Mobile Phones, MP3 players and similar items to college. The college accepts no responsibility for such items if they are brought to college. Mobile phones, MP3players and similar items may not be used anywhere on the college site, except by members of the Sixth Form within the Sixth Form Common Room. For Years 7-11, all such items must be locked in their locker (students should switch the phones off before putting them in the locker) at the start of the college day, and then collected at the end of the college day. Sixth form students may carry their phone/player with them.

For all year groups, any phone or music player seen or heard during the college day (other than in the Sixth Form Common Room) will be confiscated for a week, and a detention of one hour will be issued. This will be doubled to 2 one-hour detentions if the phone or player was being actively used. In each and every case, the phone/player must be collected from the college by a parent or guardian.
