At Key Stage 3, the department follows the agreed Croydon syllabus for RS. Within this framework, special care is taken to make pupils aware of the beliefs and practices of other members of the school and society in general. At Key Stage 4, pupils follow the exam syllabus of the Welsh Board. This leads to the awarding of a half GCSE at the end of Year 10. Students will then undertake the OCR GCSE short course in Citizenship which leads to a final exam in Year 11.
The opportunity for some students to study the full GCSE RS course is also available.
Pupils are encouraged to share their views and experiences with others. A variety of religious traditions are studied at some depth during each academic year.
