Participating
The students in the Sixth Form benefit from being a part of a growing, caring community. They are encouraged to take part in events pertaining to the wider life of the college and in so doing, develop their leadership and citizenship skills.
Additionally, we organise a range of activities throughout the year to encourage students to look beyond their time in the Sixth Form and plan towards the future. These events include visits to universities and careers exhibitions, work experience and mentoring programmes pairing our students with those already at university.
The next phase
Sixth Form students are encouraged to develop the skills they will require in order to be successful in higher education or in employment. Time management and the proper use of resources are essential in developing the level of independent learning that is required for study at degree level. NMBEC Sixth Form students have the skills and confidence to take what they have learned and apply it to the next stage of their lives, be it further study or employment.
